- Been into this since 1995, old school. This means what this means.
- Working as a pentester since 2000.
- Took a step back in 2005 and moved into security consulting.
- In 2015, I left all that behind and switched to defensive security.
- Never considered myself a hacker, just a curious person.
Current Interests
- Defensive security, because I enjoy protecting things.
- Offensive security, because it’s still a hobby.
- Threat detection and response.
- Malware analysis.
- Creating detection use cases.
- I’m comfortable with CQL, KQL, SPL, and whatever else you throw at me.
- What satisfies me most is understanding why things happen.
