  • Working as a pentester since 2000.
  • Took a step back in 2005 and moved into security consulting.
  • In 2015, I left all that behind and switched to defensive security.
  • Never considered myself a hacker, just a curious person.

Current Interests

  • Defensive security, because I enjoy protecting things.
  • Offensive security, because it’s still a hobby.
  • Threat detection and response.
  • Malware analysis.
  • Creating detection use cases.
  • I’m comfortable with CQL, KQL, SPL, and whatever else you throw at me.
  • What satisfies me most is understanding why things happen.
